Lifelong Learners: The Masterworks of American Art

Lifelong Learners: The Masterworks of American Art In-Person

The series will run for 12 weeks, and will explore the development of American art from colonial roots to the brink of World War I and the birth of Modernism. The course, taught by art historian William Kloss, examines how American art reflects the nation's history and culture, highlighting uniquely American approaches to painting. The course features memorable masterpieces that rival European art, providing a deeper look at significant painters like Thomas Cole and Winslow Homer.

The program consists of watching two lectures, followed by discussion, each week.

All are welcome to attend, and attendance is free.
