So You Want To Write A Book In-Person
So You Want To Write A Book is a 7-week immersion into the book writing process for writers who don’t want to have to learn everything the hard way. Discovering the elements and principles all books have in common -- and what to do with them -- helps smooth out your learning curve and gives you tools and insights for successfully drafting your book.
This class is for anyone who wants to write a book, whether fiction or nonfiction. Over the course of seven weeks, you’ll learn how to:
- define your project and its goals
- understand your book’s ecosystem and why it matters
- think strategically about audience and “the competition"
- organize the content you want your book to include
- create structure for narrative, presentation, and story
- shape a solid, flexible map for your book
- build sustained creative momentum that gets you to a finished manuscript
