Meet the Authors : Roger D. Anderson and Garry Brown In-Person

FOLSOI's Meet the Author welcomes two authors in April!
Come meet Roger Anderson, author of The Immigrant’s Journey, and Garry Brown, author of What He Was Born to Do.

Roger Anderson shares his award-winning book, The Immigrant’s Journey, based on true events. This is the story of his grandfather, who as a 16-year-old boy, journeys from Norway to America in the early 1900’s hoping for a better life. The book chronicles his grandfather’s story from immigration to hard work to finding love to blending his young family into the fabric of America.
Roger Anderson grew up as the son of Norwegian immigrants. He graduated with an MBA from Oregon State. He splits his time between North Carolina and Minnesota.

Garry Brown’s debut novel, What He Was Born to Do, tells the tale of a mountain boy in his quest to become a mountain man. Mordecai is the only son of a father whose religious beliefs and rigid ways have made for a difficult upbringing. When Mordecai disappears into the rugged Tennessee backwoods without a trace, his story tells of a journey into a mysterious land involving mountain superstition and lore.
Garry Brown, warmly referred to as Brown by those close to him, is a retired teacher and coach. He lives on the coast of North Carolina and loves the beach. Playing golf humbles him on a regular basis.

Seating is limited.
