Monday Movie Matinee In-Person
Join us at Barbee Library for the next Monday Movie Matinee - October Sky - The true story of Homer Hickam, Jr., a high school student in rural West Virginia who seemed destined to repeat his father's harsh life in the coal mines until he turned his attention to the skies. The movie is a story of hope, determination and the the pursuit of dreams, a theme also captured in the book Rocket Boys by Homer Hickman, which the film is based on. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided. Registration is required; register online, in-person, or call us at 910-253-1815.
