Southport Historical Society 2nd Tuesday Talk: 1960 Bolivia Plane Crash
Join Southport’s Donald Sellers as he recalls the 1960 Bolivia (NC) Plane Crash. Sellers will share details about the crash that left wreckage that covered twenty miles and shocked both local residents and aviation investigators alike. Sellers is an accomplished aviator who has had a varied career as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, a Menhaden fish spotter, and twenty years flying with Piedmont Aviation and US Airways. He is now retired and lives in Southport with his wife, Cindy.
