A TRUE CRIME SERIES - NC Valentine's Day Murders with Tom Brawner In-Person
After leaving a Valentine's Day dance in Durham on February 12, 1971, sweetharts Patricia Mann, 20 and Jesse McBain, 19, disappeared. Thirteen days later, their strangled bodies were found tied to a tree in a wooded location in Orange county near a local "Lover's Lane." The brutal senseless murders have never ben solved. The course will explore this case, the victims, suspects, and the efforts to solve this 50-year old case.
Tom Brawner is a former attorney, non-profit director, public schools and adult educator, and coach who has been interested in true crime stories for most of his life. He has taught several classes both in person and through Zoom on a variety of true crime topics.
